Back2Back Seminar at the European Maritime Day 2014 in Bremen
On the 18th May 2014 the project HERRING seized the opportunity to organize a moderated HERRING session back to back with the European Maritime Day 2014 (EMD) in Bremen. The project partners introduced the general idea of HERRING to the interested visitors of the EMD public day and elaborated on the preliminary results of the three case studies. This was then followed by a discussion in which the audience was eager to participate and ask their questions concerning herring and the management of coastal spawning areas.
The HERRING session on the European Maritime Day proved to be a great chance to reach a broad public audience and raise awareness on the problems and challenges that are related with the sustainable and holistic management of coastal areas along the South Baltic Sea and its resources.
